U.V.Ray was born on the outskirts of Birmingham, England in 1967. He had his first poem published in 1995 in the Cambridgeshire magazine Candelabrum and has since seen his work featured in numerous magazines and anthologies around the globe.

His first book of poetry The Blood In My Veins was published in 2005.

He lives in Staffordshire and is currently working on a novel.
